On July 25th, 2024, Virthiha Selvamuthukumaran was honored as Youth of the Month. This honor, presented by Chief State Court Judge Russ McClelland, is given to students who exhibit exceptional commitment to their community. Virthiha spoke about EmpowerVocal and its impact on the local community and nationwide. She was also invited to speak at the Optimist International Club in September.
On September 12th, 2024, Virthiha Selvamuthukumaran was invited to speak about her efforts with EmpowerVocal at the Optimist International Club. There, she explained EmpowerVocal's mission, impact, and future goals to 20+ professionals. Virthiha was also informed of the opportunity to teach public speaking to elementary and middle school students as they prepare for the annual Optimist International Oratorical Contest.
